Family and Environment

It is not only the person with autism who wants advice and support, family members and caregivers also need a point of contact where they can exchange ideas and learn from each other’s experiences.

This is the only way to provide children and young people with the best possible support and encouragement in their social environment!

Questions arise time and again in everyday life that are good to discuss. And sometimes it helps to hear how others resolve similar situations.

Workshops for Siblings

Neurotypical siblings of people with autism need special time slots tailored to their needs in order to create a stable balance to the often complex care services of the brother or sister with autism.

Every child regularly needs to feel that they are the center of attention and do not have to take anyone else into consideration. To meet this need, we offer workshops for siblings. Here, the siblings can talk to each other and get their questions answered.

The participants are brought together in groups according to age. The sibling workshops usually take place during the school vacations. As soon as there are enough registrations, we will find a suitable date.

Offers for Parents

Parents of autistic children are real experts on their own child thanks to their experiences. This is precisely why the exchange between parents is so important to JuCare. We want to create spaces where you can meet, feel understood and benefit from each other. Our events focus on you as parents, with your questions, your challenges and what really helps you in everyday life.

We currently offer parenting courses on the topics of self-care and communication at our Brühl and Bonn locations. In addition, all our locations offer the opportunity to talk to other parents and network.

Strong Together - Parents helping Parents

Parents’ initiatives that meet regularly and strengthen each other are emerging all the time. If you would like to set up such an initiative or are looking for a connection, we will be happy to support you and act as a point of contact for interested parents.
